Welcome IFS Clients

We know a new studio comes with new routines — from learning the equipment to figuring out scheduling and deciding what you'd like your movement practice to look like here.

You don't need to learn everything at once. We've gathered answers to some of the questions we've been hearing most often.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at Hello@SurvivingStrong.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Scheduling works a little differently at Surviving Strong. We don’t assume you’ll attend the same session each week. Instead, you reserve the classes you plan to attend. This gives you control over your schedule and makes unused spots available to others.

If you have a regular class time, you can set up recurring reservations as long as you have a valid membership or class pack covering those dates.

We’ll also make sure you’re comfortable using WellnessLiving through the app or your web browser so you can easily view, add, cancel or change your own reservations.

For the first few week, through to September 25th, we're temporarily holding space in Linda's classes for clients transitioning from IFS. We've adjusted the online capacity and using the waiting list so Shannon can manage those reservations manually while everyone gets settled.

If you're transitioning from IFS and see “Add to Waitlist” , go ahead and add your name. we will take it from there.

Beginning September 28th , Linda's classes will open to the entire Surviving Strong community and our normal booking and waitlist procedures will apply.

Absolutely. You don't need to change your routine simply because you've changed studios.

If you plan to attend about once a week, our 5-Class Pack is likely the best fit. It can be used for any five small-group classes and is valid for two months from the date of purchase.

Because reservations require a valid membership or class pack for the date of the class, you'll be able to reserve your regular sessions that fall within those two months.  As you get closer to using your five visits, simply purchase your next one and continue making your reservations from there.

If once-a-week classes are already part of your regular routine, you may find it helpful to set yourself a reminder so you can purchase your next pack and reserve your upcoming classes before your current pack expires.

You can book a class as far ahead as you have a valid membership or class pack on your account, and up until 6 hours before the session begins.

Plans change! If you can’t attend, please cancel your reservation as soon as you know. Cancellations made less than 18 hours before class are considered late cancellations, and the session credit will be forfeited. The same applies to no-shows.

If a class is full, add yourself to the waitlist.

  • If a spot opens more than 18 hours before class, you’ll receive an email and app notification and will automatically be moved into the class.
  • If a spot opens less than 18 hours before class, we won’t automatically add you. Instead, we’ll text you to see if you’re still available and want the spot. If you do, we’ll move you into the class.

And one very human request: if something changes at the last minute and you can’t make it, please text us at 215-944-4440. We notice when you’re missing, and we worry!

Please do!

Your class pack or membership isn't tied to a particular instructor or class. You're welcome throughout our small-group schedule.

You may already know exactly what you love, and there's no need to give that up. But changing studios can also be an opportunity to get curious. You might discover another style of Pilates, add some strength work, challenge your balance or coordination, or simply find another class you really enjoy.

Keep what you love. Discover what else you're capable of.

Our classes are small for a reason. We teach the people in front of us, not simply the class on the schedule.

Before class begins, our instructors know who is registered and consider the people they'll be working with — their experience, goals, what they've been working on and anything else we know that may be helpful in coaching them well.

As you get started, we'll gather some of that background from you and Linda. And as we work with you more, we'll get to know you ourselves — how you move, what you enjoy, where you may need something different and where you're ready for more challenge.

We also keep client notes so important information can be shared among our instructors. Getting to know you is a collaborative process, not something that starts over every time you take a class with someone different.

The class has a plan. The people in the room determine how that plan comes to life.

Memberships are our clients’ most popular option because they make it easy to build a consistent routine and plan ahead.

Memberships include a set number of sessions each month, starting at 6 visits per month and going all the way up to Unlimited. Our most popular option is 12 visits per month, but 6- and 8-visit memberships can be a great fit if you’re building from a once-a-week routine or balancing Surviving Strong with other activities.

Unlike a class pack, a membership continually gives you future visits, which means you can keep reserving your favorite classes farther in advance.

You can choose a 3-month or annual commitment. Most people start with three months, while annual memberships include additional savings and benefits.

Not sure whether a membership or class pack makes more sense for you?  We can walk you through the options so you can choose what best supports your routine.

Shannon is your first stop. As our Customer Support Manager, she can help with scheduling, WellnessLiving, memberships and class packs, account questions, studio policies, class types or anything else you're not quite sure about.

If it’s not something she handles directly, she’ll make sure your question gets to the right person.

Your instructors are always happy to answer questions about your classes, movements and what you're working on — but for anything administrative, please reach out to Shannon directly at 215-944-4440 or hello@SurvivingStrong.org.
